The Louisville Futures is a USTA Pro Circuit event with rising pro players competing for $25,000 in prize money and both ITF World Tennis ranking points and ATP ranking points. For 2024, the tournament will be played at the University of Louisville’s Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.

The inaugural Not Your Country Club tournament concluded its exciting first run on Sunday with a thrilling singles final. Recent University of Tennessee graduate Johannes Monday, currently ranked 675 in the ATP rankings, pulled off an impressive upset by defeating the tournament’s fourth seed, Tyler Zink, who holds a ranking of 604. In a commanding performance, Monday bested Zink in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3. Known for his powerful yet deceptive left-handed serve, Monday, a multiple-time All-American from England, dictated play and kept the crowd engaged throughout the match.

The singles final drew a large and appreciative audience at the Bass Rudd Tennis Center, located on the University of Louisville campus. Fans were treated to a display of high-level talent and competitive spirit that underscored the tournament’s successful debut.

Adding to his achievements over the weekend, Monday also claimed victory in the doubles final. He teamed up with University of Kentucky All-American JJ Mercer to secure a 7-5, 6-4 win over the duo of Maginley and Zhu on Saturday afternoon.
